Animal Services

  1. Adopt-a-Shelter-Dog Month: Big Dogs Adoption Event

    October 2, 2018 - October 31, 2018 @ Adoption Kennels

    In honor of Adopt a Shelter Dog month, Irving Animal Services is offering all large dogs - 40 pounds and larger - for a discounted adoption fee of only $25 for the entire month of October. Normally, the adoption fees range from $70 to $100.

    Adopters must be at least 18 years of age and have a valid form of identification.

    Animals being adopted will be:
    • Up-to-date on vaccinations, including rabies if the animal is over four months of age.
    • Spayed or neutered or $50 voucher towards spay / neuter (depending on surgery availability).
    • Given a general dewormer and flea prevention .
    • Microchipped and registered with 24PetWatch.
    • Heartworm tested (dogs over six months of age).

    Schedule your appointment to have your pet spayed or neutered at an affordable cost. Pets are dropped off by 8 a.m. and picked up the same day around 4 p.m. Services provided by Texas Coalition for Animal Protection (TCAP).

  4. Affordable Vaccinations for Pets - No Appointments Needed

    Available services include vaccinations, microchipping, heartworm testing, heartworm prevention and flea/tick control. A full set of annual vaccinations for a cat or dog is just $25! Services provided by Texas Coalition for Animal Protection (TCAP).

  1. Irving Concert Series - Fall Edition

    Irving’s annual concert series showcases live music performances throughout the spring. Now offering shows in the fall as well, enjoy the sounds of talented Texas bands. Attendees spread lawn chairs and blankets in front of the stage and enjoy homemade picnics or food from the vendors on-site. Parking and admission are free to all shows. In the event of inclement weather, shows will be moved to an indoor location. Check the event website in the summer of 2018 for a schedule of performers.
