 Explore scientific principles, participate in hands-on activities and have a great time!

We meet at the following days and locations:

  • South Irving Library as part of Family Storytime, 7 p.m. the fourth Monday of month
  • Valley Ranch Library - dates and times vary, check the monthly calendar.
  • West Irving Library at 11 a.m. the third Saturday each month
  • East Branch Library at 4:30 p.m. the fourth Wednesday each month
What we've explored:
  • The physics of spinning tops – angular momentum, friction and gravity
  • The viscosity of liquids by making Ooblecks, a Dr. Seuss-inspired gooey mixture
  • The principles of gravity, inertia and resistance by testing a raw egg's survival in a daring 30 foot drop from a city bucket truck
  • The properties of magnets
